Heidy van Beurden runs HVB Communicatie bv.
She has more than 15 years experience as a communication manager, project manager, journalist and editor. Clients she worked for include
- Shell International bv (Technology Report and Story Telling database)
- ICT4E2B, a research project funded by the European Commission (moderator)
- Heineken (magazine for the Olympics)
Her focus is on communications in the area of energy and climate change. In recent years she published two books about inspiring energy and climate initiatives in Europe, in partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Spatial Planning and the Environment. Smart City dynamics, her latest book, was published in November 2011. In Brussels she was moderator/rapporteur for a workshop about energy efficiency in buildings (a project funded by the European Commission).
She initiated and produced a diverse range of publications, like Ondernemen.in,
a magazine for Dutch entrepreneurs and international business. She also restyled the Yearbook 2011 for ICISA (International Credit Insurance & Surety Association).
Heidy van Beurden works for governments, the private sector as well as the non-profit sector. Professional (freelance) copywriters, editors, designers, translators, photographers, consultants and communication specialists are all part of the network she works with.
